Soaps for Change sells handmade soaps to raise funds for social justice organizations. Profits are donated to highlighted organizations throughout the year. Thank you for your support!
Our Motivation
Our first initiative was motivated by the murder of George Floyd — a moment that sparked national protests against and dialogue about structural racism, police brutality, white supremacy, and systemic oppression. Each month, we highlight an organization that is in the fight for social justice and working to dismantle these systems.

When you buy soap, here's exactly what your purchase covers, and what we give away.
What we pay for

Ingredients and equipment
Oils, butters, and other ingredients for every small, handmade batch. Mixing bowls, soap loaf molds, etc.

Packaging and Shipping
Postage and mailing supplies. Paper for labels, boxes, other packaging materials, printer ink, etc.

Taxes and Fees
Payment processing and the cost of running our online store: Shopify fees, domain name, business insurance. Booth fees for markets (on the Upcoming Events page). Sales and income taxes, as applicable.

Miscellaneous
Other one-off purchases to keep things running: a tent or lights for in-person markets, soap for washing dishes, shelving for ingredient and equipment storage, etc.
